I thought I’d give you a quick update of my National Walking Month challenge of trying to walk 10,000 steps per day. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll already have an idea, but here is a quick summary:
Some days, it was harder than I thought it was going to be, other days it was easier than I thought I could be. Admin days and rainy days were the hardest – I find it really hard to motivate myself when its raining. On the admin days, I did find that just 30 minutes away from my desk to get outside and move made me return feeling more relaxed and focussed.
I noticed that I felt more optimistic, and able to bounce back from set backs in my day. This week, I have not stuck to the walking, and I find myself going around circles mentally with different things. I definitely want to try and incorporate some more daily walks into my weeks from now on.
